Rappin' Up To His Master

Francis "Master Rapper" Magalona was more than just an influential artist and entrepreneur. He was a moving inspiration to the youth and the Filipinos in general. His contribution was more than just Mga Kababayan Ko (a Heber Bartolome original), Cold Summer Nights, and Kaleidoscope World. His legacy is how he lived his life.

His Eat Bulaga family used to call him wordsmith. With his sensible lyrics and lively rap music, Kiko delivered the timely message of patriotism and love. One love. One blood. One nation.

What I will never forget about him are his profound words. He used his words as a tool to enlighten people. He once said: "Imbes na manira, gumawa. Imbes na magsawa, magsimula." A man with the wisdom and character as his will truly be admired.

Kiko, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Paalam.
